Greetings, I am ~Rose3212, I have been a member of this lovely website for over 9 years now, I love to welcome new users and encourage them to be the best they can be, so let me start this off by saying welcome to all the new deviants who have joined our site, I hope you enjoy your time here and if you need to know anything at all, ask me, or refer to deviantART's admins or help page if you're ever unsure of what to do next.
There are many features that keep you safe, including reporting users and deviations, if you find a deviation that is against website rules, such as one that calls another user out, scroll down until you see a triangle button with an exclamation mark in it, this is the Report Deviation button, be sure to pick the correct category when submitting reports to the help desk, this helps them save time, if you put it in the right category, they don't have to move it themselves, please be advised that the Help Desk is closed on weekends and holidays, for updates on Help Desk Closures, see the Status Forum and check the hours on the help page.
You may get some particularly nasty comments on your deviations, but if they border or threatening or have extreme uses of profanity in them, go to your settings page, click "General" and scroll down to the section labelled as "Blocked Deviants," simply enter the user's name and click the green "Save" button and they'll be blocked, please note that you have to wait 48 hours to reblock a user should you choose to unblock them....Now I'll go over the symbols!

Please note that if a user is banned and comes back, this is known as "Ban Evasion," you can report them to the help desk and the admins will terminate the evader's new accounts, sometimes, the site will even ban an IP Address, which prevents a person from making an account from the specified IP Address, I've had to deal with this one user I had gotten banned who came back under 4 different accounts, needless to say, it took them being banned 5 times for them to learn right from wrong.
Don't ever give out your personal info to anyone, if you get an email from someone, make sure it's either from or one of its admins, some users have gotten emails regarding passwords or personal info, but these were actually from hackers or spam accounts.
If there is a hacker loose on here, one of my friends will post an alert journal that I always repost on my page to warn others about them.
If you join one of the groups on here, make sure to read and obey the rules, as some groups will kick members after one rule break, usually these people are ones who break the "No hate art/flaming other members" rule.
